Old-ish newbie from Bendigo, Vic

Hi everyone. I am delighted both that this forum exists and that I have been able to become a member. My Thermomix was delivered two days ago and I am having fun with it already. I have not been able to bring myself to giving away my Kenwood mixer yet - but its nose has been seriously put out of joint.

Welcome Jen. Don't give the Kenwood away yet. Mine sits there waiting to whisk egg whites and a couple of other things I prefer not to use the TMX for.

Welcome Jen, no, keep that Kenwood! Sometimes you want to make a cake while something is cooking in the TMX. Also, as cookie says, the TMX is fantabulous at most things, but occasionally you need to use a mixer.

Welcome Jen. I was advised to keep all my appliances for a year to see which ones I used over that time. I think it was sound advice

Jan, I shifted the bread machine out of the pantry. Haven't used the kenwood. The magimix also out to the shed. Will wait and see.

Hi Jen, welcome to the forum. Good advice from the others, keep everything for a while then decide. Some things will never get used again once you realise the full potential of the TMX. Happy cooking and enjoy yourself on here too.

Welcome Jen - great to see another old-ish person here. I have a lot of recipes in SPanish from a 62 year old - about 100 recipes that she contributed to another forum.
