Recipe from New Idea.
150g packet Oreo-chocolate filled cookies
100g packet red glace cherries
100g dried apricots
85g dessicated coconut (1 cup)
220g sweetened condensed milk (2/3 cup)
extra coconut for coating
Place the biscuits, cherries, apricots and coconut into the TM bowl and chop for
15 sec/speed 8
.
Add condensed milk and mix for
10 sec/speed 8.
Roll 1 tsp of mixture into balls and roll in the extra coconut.
Place on a tray and refrigerate for at least an hour or until firm.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Makes approx 40 bite sized balls.
The original recipe contained 1/3 cup flaked almonds but there was no mention of it in the method so I am presuming that was a typing error.

Yum. I was greedy and ate all the Power Balls I made. These look just as nice.

These look great, Judy. Think DH would like them dipped in chocolate.

Judy,
They sound and look terrific. I still can't get over the fact that in 25seconds you have the mix ready. What a wonderful helper in the kitchen.

Yes, it's a pity the TMX can roll them for you as well Denise - what a messy job that is. I wear latex gloves to make it a little easier.
Chookie you will have to spoil him and make some dipped in chocolate for your DH.

nazar, I was wrapped when I found that site as I often find great recipes in their magazine whilst sitting in a waiting room. I madly try and write them all out but invariably get called in before I have finished. Great idea with DS, if he chooses something it would be because he thinks he would like it. Do you get him involved in the cooking side of things as well, this sometimes helps.
