freezing herbs, vegies and fruit
« on: February 04, 2010, 08:43:49 am »
I am not to bad in the kitchen and can normally work things out, but I am not to sure on the best way to freeze fresh fruit, veggies and herbs so I can use at a later date. I have only just got my thermomix a week ago, and have never had to freeze fresh foods before.

Depends very much on how you wish to use them in the future.

If it is for smoothies and sorbets then cut pieces into ice cube sized chunks and freeze on trays then into containers or bags.

Some vegies are best part cooked in pieces

Herbs are sometimes best chopped then into ice cube trays and then into bags.

A big area - may need to google and find something.
