Another newbie from Adelaide!
« on: January 30, 2010, 11:03:35 am »
Hi everyone
I ordered my TMX last week, so I'm hoping I'll get it next week. I really wanted it this week, but it didn't happen :(  I've seen that there are a few other new owners in Adelaide too, so that's really nice.
I've been doing lots of research whilst I'm waiting & have found lots of help on this forum.
I've been to one basic cooking demo, & as the only non owner there I was the lucky one to make the custard! It was great, not like the usual lumpy stuff I make. Any way I loved the demo so much that I just had to buy my own TMX. Luckily I had been working on DH for the week before the class, so he wasn't in total shock.
Well, I'll keep reading & learning from this wonderful forum while I wait & wait........

Hi So Blessed - nice to see another Adelaidean on the forum.  Our numbers are slowly growing. You will be kept very busy browsing this forum whilst you wait for your TMX.  Have fun when you get it and let us know how you are progressing.

Welcome SoBlessed. Hopefully your machine won't be too far away. There's no public holidays this week, so let's hope it's quick for you.

Hi and welcome! Hope the wait isn't too long...
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

After a long 15 day wait I finally received my TMX today!!!!
I've made some coleslaw & will soon try some bread, custard & maybe icecream (if time).
I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed & not sure what to do, but guess I'll learn by doing.
And now the journey begins.

I'm glad your TMX has arrived. It must have gone to the gold coast before it got to you. 15 days is a long time. You could have driven over and picked it up. Have fun now that it has arrived. Don't forget that people on here are only too glad to help.

Thanks cookie1.
I probably will need lots of help!
Yes, it sure took along time to get here. It was hard to reading about others ordering & getting theirs while I was waiting & waiting. Just so happy to have it at last.
