Made at last.  Next time I won’t add as much Marsala to the fruit, or if I do I will reduce the liquid. Mine are a bit cakey, DD says they are like muffins. But you can certainly taste the booze.

Thank you Judy.  You can see when something is really liked by how quick they disappear. DH wants me to make more so will do so when the extra tins arrive. I bet they would be really nice in a bread & butter pudding, another one to try at some stage. 

Cookie, It's a shame yours didn't turn out like you hoped, I bet they'll be enjoyed though.
