New Thermomix owner in a Celiac Household!
« on: February 22, 2010, 07:00:14 am »
Well my best investment so far has been my thermomix machine!!! What a joy it is to cook now. My son was diagnosed 8 weeks ago so we are all still coming to terms with it. Basically the hardest thing is thinking of what to feed us all. Gone are the days of spag bog, eggs on toast etc...all those easy staple meals that I could wip up without thinking.

Anyway - ill be def checking out all the recipies floating around, and have had a great time experimenting myself with the TM and wipping up some yummy GF foods.

Hi eelaine, welcome to the forum.  Life changes with these problems but you have plenty of support from others like you on this forum so you will very soon have a great choice of foods to cook for your son (and yourselves).

Welcome!

There's no need to say "goodbye" to your favourites, you just need to alter them slightly to make them GF. There's a few here with the same issues, so you'll have no problems at all in altering your present recipes.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
