Welcome Sarah, and a big congratulations. I wonder if you and Bron are the only people to lose weight after purchasing a TMX?

A fabulous big hello to everyone. I have owned my TM since July last year and have lost 17 kilos & counting since!.

Howdy!

Lost 17Kg hey? Maybe if you put up a sign around the neighbourhood, someone will find it and bring it home for you?  :P

Well done. I went into a "Biggest Loser" challenge at work late last year, came second by about 300 grams :( Still, I feel much healthier and all my old pants don't pop their zippers anymore :)

Russell.

HI everyone,
Thanks for such lovely responses to my introduction. I am pleased to report that the weight loss now stands at 20.2kg. I am afraid to let you all down but I have been living in the dessert, cake & dip sections of the recipe book! Although I did hear many years ago that in order to lose weight you need to have ice cold things as it speeds up your metabolism. So everyday I start off with some combination of fruit or fruit/veg juice made in TM and I try to finish every second day with a sorbet or more juice before dinner. The juices are filling so I do know if I have one mid afternoon my main meal at dinner isn't as large as normal. Other than that since owning my TM I seem to eat a lot more often than I ever did before because it all just tastes so good. I do plan to post some recipes at some stage but they will be mainly juices for combatting the flu or desserts. As for all those lovely suggestions of delivering back my lost weight that a few of you have thoughtfully collected for me please send it to the starving nations as I never plan to want it back.  ;D

There is a lot of logic in what you say Sarah. A friend of mine eats an apple about 30 minutes before her evening meal so then has a smaller meal. It certainly works for her. I think with weight loss you need to do whatever works for you as long as it's healthy.

I am sure my health could be improved by moving out of the dessert section of any given cookbook! This forum has definitely helped with that. A marvellous resource for any owner of a TM.

I know what you mean about the dessert section of any cookbook Sarah. I have the same problem plus I prefer to cook sweet things or bake cakes and biscuits. I'm expecting a book any day I saw in Singapore (and didn't buy) about making Macarons. I love them so they will become my new cupcakes.

I'm with you there cookie, there is something just that little bit more satisfying in baking sweet things. I'm on the 21 day diet at the moment and must admit that sometimes a carrot stick and a bit of hommus just doesn't cut it for me  :'(
