Recipe review - vegetable curry - Full Steam Ahead p134
« on: October 25, 2011, 02:37:55 pm »
This is a really nice mild curry with simple ingredients you might have on any weeknight.  No chilli or ginger so good for the curry wimps but still flavorsome.  Will definitely make again and it's a loose recipe: any vegetable combination you like, I didn't have eggplant but added broccoli, green beans & celery. Didn't have anise so used garam masala.  Only tweak I reduced the 80gms oil to 60gms and next time will use less again.  4 stars and it makes heaps.
I just had my Varoma demo last night (mini review: 5 stars for the menu) and bought FSA and this was my first 'all in one' meal. It takes time but during the rice/vege steaming process (22 mins) good time to clean kitchen or do other things.

The recipe has been posted before if you're interested in a not quick but simple tasty meal http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4349.0

I enjoy this recipe too, Vivaroo.  Interesting - a curry recipe from Portugal.  The Portugese colonised some parts of India, so it makes sense.
