Hi everyone.

So, the Thermomix is a very new item in my kitchen.  As per a few fellow bloggers, I was in need of a few different machines in my kitchen, and the cost of each well and truly justified one purchase of a Thermomix.  And what a change it has made.  I received it Monday, and last night (Wednesday) cooked a mushroom risotto which was pretty much the best one I've ever made!!  What to do with all my wooden spoons??  Thanks for the forum - I am just trying to work out how to convert my 1000000 cookbook recipes to Thermomix language - I'll get there with some practice I think...

Enjoy clicking, and turning dials!!

Welcome Kath,

Glad to hear your first(?) venture was such a hit. I am learning that when it comes to converting - slow and steady is the way to go. I try one a week if I'm lucky. Must confess there are so many good recipes in here that sometimes I'm having trouble just keeping up with trying these ones that I don't get around to converting any of mine until my family want an old favourite.

Look forward to hearing more from you and trust you continue to enjoy your TMX and the forum.

Welcome to the world of thermomix and in particular this forum - I am also very new in terms of both.  Have been a TMX owner for 2 weeks and have been spending a very considerable chunk of my day (what perfect timing - school hols in Qld). the information gained from this forum is huge, all members are so helpful and their knowledge is amazing.

Cheers

Hi Kath, welcome to the forum.  Great to hear you had success with your risotto - some don't .  If it is cakes you are into, you will soon find out how quickly you can whip up a batch and we have some beauties on this forum.  It won't be long and you will start doing your own conversions of your favourites so we look forward to seeing what you have to share with us.

Welcome Kath from not-so-sunny Nyabing!

We also had some very welcome rain to day.

It won't take you long to go through those recipes and convert them all will it? ;D
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Welcome - looking forward to some conversions - it is easier than you think.  Just follow some of the basic recipes from the EDC book and you'll be fine  :-* :-* :-*
