8 chicken breast slices
30g extra virgin olive oil (+ extra to oil chicken slices)
Salt
200g pineapple (diced)

80g spring onion
150g kiwi (roughly chopped)
350g whole milk
20-30g apple cider vinegar (up to taste)

Pinapple and kivi slices for decoration

    * Chop onion for 5 seconds on Speed 7. Scrape down the sides with spatula
    * Add oil and cook for 3 minutes at 100ºC on Speed 1
    * Add kiwi, milk and vinegar. Place Varoma Bowl. Steam for 30 minutes at Varoma Temperature on Speed 1
    * Set Varoma Bowl aside.
    * Blend salsa for 30 seconds on Speed 7, add salt if needed. (I didn't add)
    * Decorate plates with pineapple and kiwi slices. Put chicken rolls, dress them with some salsa and serve

Afiyet olsun...

Note: You can use canned pineapple instead of fresh one provided that it is natural and not in some sugar syrup! I used canned pineapple slices

It's adapted with a few changes from the recipe called as Petto di Pollo all'Ananas in Salsa Kiwi from the book named Oggi...Frutta

Delightful Den - I served it over baby broccolini. Our dinner guest loved it, however DW was not so impressed.  She was OK with the sauce but the fresh pineapple I used was tart and detracted from the flavour of the chicken.  I would try this again but using tinned pineapple.

Interesting sauce farfallina. DH doesn't like kiwi fruit, wonder if he would notice it in that sauce  ???

I'm with your DH on kiwi fruit JD.  I think I've some kind of allergy to it because I always get a peculiar itchy feeling in my ears when I've eaten some  :o :o :o ;D

;D ;D ;D It does seem to have different effects on some people, with DH it is more the Kiwi fruit doesn't like him than he doesn't like it  :D

I can take Kiwi Friut or I can leave it.

However in NZ it is very different. Could not get enough of the stuff.

I have somewhat complicated feelings about kiwi!  :D

I love eating it fresh, just cut into slices
I don't like it in frappe etc, I find it itchy and it kind of destroys the taste of other fruits for me

I made this recipe a while back. As far as I can remember it is not noticeable but can't give you a 100% guarantee  :-))
All I can say is my husband didn't understand what was inside the sauce! ;)

My preferred method is to cut it in half length-ways and scoop it out with a spoon.

I am sorry it didn't turn out quite the way you hoped dashingden
It might be because of sour pineapple, mine was sweeter than yours I believe. I used canned pineapples. (Not in syrup but in natural juice)
Or your wife simply doesn't like the marriage of pineapple, kiwi and chicken.  ;)
To be honest, it is quite unusual for us too even if we liked it.
Food taste is a very subjective matter you know
Maybe she'd enjoy this one here

Farfillina my DW has very unsophisticated tastes. I think if I used canned pineapple in juice so the sweetness is guaranteed she would probably like it. I will try this recipe again as well as the other one you have recommended.
