new owner perth
« on: August 04, 2010, 09:25:38 am »
Hi there,
I got my thermomix about a week ago.  I live in perth and have two little ones and a husband who eats three times a normal serve.  Thanks to Jocelyn who did a great demo.  I'm not the world's most confident cook so i am hoping this gives me a helping hand.  I have cooked a few basics already, rice and steamed stuff, botched the mushroom risotto (could it be more stodgy :D!) and had a little success with the converted Cindy O'meare's cinamon scrolls, after finding the recipe on this site.  Thank you, yummy.

I'll probably be reading more than posting, but  I do have lots of questions already.

Cheers,
Mary

Hi Mary, It sounds like you could be me  :D.  I'm from Perth too, have two little ones and a husband with a huge appetite.

Welcome to the wonderful world of TMX.  I'm pretty new too (I've had mine for a couple of months) but would not be without it now!  This forum is fantastic.  So many tips from the experts.

Have fun with it,
BB

Hi Mary, welcome to the forum.  You are quite lucky having a DH who eats a lot, mine eats like a mouse which means we have plenty of leftovers and I can't get on with trying the next recipe as quickly as I would like to.   Bring on the questions, we are ready for them  ;) ;)

Welcome Mary. We seem to have an influx of Perth owners-wonderful, more to come to our coffee mornings. ;)
You are fortunate in having a DH who eats lots. We all struggle with our weight here so the freezer eats lots.
PLease feel free to ask all the questions you wish.
