Hi skelso, it is great you are so excited.  I was too when I was waiting for my TMX, but you know what, I now can't remember what was the first thing I made in it!!!  There are many experienced, lovely people on this forum and I am sure they can give you plenty of suggestions.  I remember making risotto, dips, sorbet and spaghetti sauce in the first week - just not sure in what order :-))  Have fun when you do finally receive your TMX.

Hi skelso, welcome to the forum.  Lots of people waiting for or just receiving their TMX's this week means lots of excited people out there. Here's a link to some things others suggested when tarosuma asked the same question as you
http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4001.0.

I personally made sorbet, potato cakes (took some tweaking to get that one right), mashed potato, custard, risotto, pumpkin soup, mayo, coleslaw, veg stock concentrate, bolognaise sauce, mushroom sauce, chicken/cashews & rice, rice pudding, scones as my first efforts.  Not all in the first week like others but over a period of many weeks as I was a bit slow off the mark. I didn't have the advantage of knowing about this forum for a couple of months after I got my machine so you are one up on me and can have things printed out ready to go and not have to wait for the delivery of the machine and cookbook.  I am far more adventurous these days thank goodness. Good luck, hope your machine comes soon.

Welcome Emmylouk. The first thing I made was vegetable stock. It looked pretty foolproof. Custards and sorbets are easy too. I can remember writing down time, temperature, speed when I first got my machine. I thought I would never remember. It doesn't take long as long as you don't give up on the failures. We have forum members who turn their failures into soups or icecreams. Clever people. :D
