London calling

Hi all
My name is Steve and I’m a married (no kids), 41 year old, IT manager living in London
I’m the proud owner of a new Thermomix which I bought for three reasons
a) I love to spend hours (and I mean hours!!!) in the kitchen on a weekend preparing meals but during the week I have little time/energy when I come home from work. The TM will allow us to eat quick and healthy meals mid-week
b) We are about to completely replace our kitchen and the TM means I will need fewer appliances and use less space
c) The TM will make a fantastic sous-chef and dinner parties should now be less effort for me and more time spent with guests
I spent hours on this site researching before I bought the TM so thanks to all for creating such an informative site.
So far we have made Chicken Korma, Balti chicken with coconut cream and Onion bhajees, all from the Fast and Easy Indian book. They all turned out really well but be careful with chilli in the onion bhajees!!! My wife has also made Pasta carbonara using her own recipe.
Looking forward to sharing ideas and recipes with you all
Steve
PS. This is the first time I have ever joined a forum

Hi Steve, welcome to your first forum (it was mine too, a real eye opener). Sounds like you have everything under control, know what you want and went out and got it. Have fun with all those dinner parties and share your favourite recipes with us real soon.

Hi Steve and welcome to the forum. It cooking sounds as though you are having fun cooking with your new TM.It will certainly be a taking point at your dinner parties as a lot of people here in the U.K. have never heard of a Thermomix.

Welcome Steve. This was my first forum (still my only one) as well and from what I can gather from other people's comparisons this is a great one. I'm certainly addicted to it
Hope you enjoy your TMX and we look forward to hearing about your journey

Welcome Steve ... my first forum too ... I'm finding it to be a valuable resource for my new way of cooking ... certainly keeps the excitement levels up knowing there are people out there more than willng to share from their experiences and generous enough to pass on their successful tweaks ... I'm getting addicted!
Cheers,
Alison
