easiest ever- powdered fruit drink "sorbet"
« on: September 18, 2010, 04:30:06 am »
I FINALLY found a thermomix 21 used here in the USA. I had made a few of the sorbets with frozen fruit which were hits. Tonight, I thought, "I wonder if I can use the powdered fruit drink in my cupboard to make "sorbet." I used crystal light, a brand here in the USA which is diet and has Splenda (peach mango green tea flavor)- one individual package is supposed to flavor a 16.9 oz water bottle- sprinkled the powder over 300g ice cubes, 10 seconds on top speed, and voila, peach mango green tea sorbet!! The kids loved it and it could not be easier. You could use koolaid powder, lemonade powder, gatorade powder.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong but I don't think we can get those powders in Australia.

We can - but I would be very wary as to what is in them. My grandma gets them -  Ipresume from Coles/Woolies
