Queen of Sheba Bath Soak - A Taste of Vegetarian Pge 130

I made this today thinking it might be a good addition to my Christmas baskets. It was easy to make, I had all the ingredients in the pantry/garden (rolled oats, powdered milk, desiccated coconut, bicarb of soda and lavender flowers). It made around 120g, enough for 1 bath and I have just tried it. Can someone please tell me the purpose of a bath soak, is it supposed to relax you, is it supposed to make you smell nice, what
I have never been one to soak in a bath and with water restrictions we can't have deep baths anymore anyway. The blitzed residue of the lavender flowers was floating all over the top of the water, not a great look really. If I thought people would appreciate a batch of this, it certainly wouldn't be a difficult or costly thing to add to my baskets but, I don't know. Comments and thoughts please.

I think the lavender has proprieties that suppose to make you relax Judy.I don't like "bits" floating in my bath, reminds me of bugs.I sometimes see handmade soap with "bits" in the tablet of soap but I have used it but you end up having to clean the sink because they haven't drained away.Enough housework to do without adding to it.

JD, you could put the mixture in a 'chux' or similar. Also hate bits in the bath.

gift wrapped in chux, so you use it to clean the bath after. sounds like multi-tasking, not relaxing

DD loves bath bombs from Lush and most of those have 'floaties' in them. They tend to sit on the bottom of the tub when she gets out.

Yuk - gritty - yuk - sticky. Lots of people gave them to my ex many years ago when they were very popular as a gift. I just can't stand them - so usually ended up having a shower after the bath !

This isn't a bath bomb, it is just a powder. Thermomixer I think these types of things are meant for girls, you are a bit of a worry at times

Not as bad as the chap on Collectors tonight with hundreds of Barbie dolls.
Don't the bath bombs just become powder? Might be thinking of the wrong stuff

I think bath bombs fizz don't they and then yes, turn to powder - much more exciting to watch than just throwing powder into the water.
