 :-))  Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone had ever tried making orange ice-cream?  I have a friend in hospital and she says she is craving it????? :P   I haven't managed to locate a recipe :'(

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Cheers

Never made orange icecream but I'd just make like any fruit icecream (my basic recipe with 250 ml milk, 300 ml cream, 3/4 cup of castor sugar - then for a fruit one just add around 250g of fruit eg mashed strawberries, peaches etc) so I'd just peel the orange making sure there is no pith and deseed as much as possible, then whizz it up in the tmx, add the rest of the ingredients and mix (then make icecream however you do - I use my icecream maker so no help there).

Or the other possibility is make an orange sorbet with frozen milk as half of the ice content, not sure how it would turn out. I have only ever done a strawberry one of these.

Thanks heaps for those ideas ladies!

I will try both during the week and let you know how i go!!! ;D ;D ;D

I'm only in my 3rd week of owning a TMX so you can imagine I am trying to cook everything and anything,  and I think I actually heard it sigh in relief when I left the kitchen tonight.
