My DH made this tonight - he made it exactly according to the recipe and said that it was really easy. The resulting dish was delicious - but it is strange to call it a salad. It is actually a chunky-dip-type texture ..... the recipe in MWOC actually says to serve it with bread as a starter, and the picture in the book looks like a dip too. Having said that, it is a very tasty dip that we all enjoyed - young kids too. It would also be nice served on a cheese platter or with cold meats as a type of relish.
Tweaks - none - but maybe change the name and not call it a salad!
