Hi Everyone,

I am awaiting my TMX (hopefully get it on Wednesday) but have been browsing over this forum for the past few days and decided to join. You all seem to be a wonderful group of people and am happy to be part of it.

I'm a mum of 3 girls - 14,13 and 5 and am just about to begin my Uni degree in Criminology and Justice.

My main reason of buying a TMX was so i don't have to spend endless hours in the kitchen and can focus more on the important things.....my girls, study etc.

I have never joined a forum before so not really sure of what I do but I'm sure I will pick it up eventually!

Hi Manda77, welcome to the forum.  Nice to see you have been getting to know us all these past few days then decided to come on in and join us. It is a great place to be.  Your life is certainly about to change in more ways than one and I wish you well with both your study and cooking.  The older girls will probably want to use the TMX too so could be a great help in the kitchen whilst you study.  Us thermoholics actually spend more time in the kitchen because we love our machines so much and just want to keep cooking but I'm sure you will manage to fit everything in.

Thankyou all for the warm welcome. I have not yet had a play with a TMX, however I have seen it in action. I am hanging to have a play with it! As I am not a technological person, please tell me what would be the best (and easiest) thing to try first and what ingredients would I need? As for my older girls, they are pretty hopeless in the kitchen so not expecting much help from them but I do live in hope that they will want to have a go with the TMX and expand their knowledge with cooking lol. I look forward to getting to know all of you and this forum

Hi Manda77, I think the easiest thing to make first would be the custard in the EDC book...page 155
Even your kids will be able to make it. My 13 & 11 year old daughters make heaps of food with the 'Therminator' as
we call it.

Welcome to the forum (it is my first one as well and it is great but, be warned, it is highly addictive!).

Like your daughters, I too was hopeless in the kitchen until I got the TMX, now I confidently make real custard, pastry and mayonnaise - it's all so simple and easy I'm sure your girls will get the bug and you'll have to battle them so that you can use the TMX as well.
