custard made on coconut cream/milkl
« on: April 15, 2011, 10:07:09 am »
Has anyone ever made the custard from edc with a coconut flavour?

A coconut cream and milk/milk substitute  mix or all coconut cream/milk? What do you think?

Thanks in advance.

mmmm, sounds good to me!! I use coconut cream and milk a lot!! Probably best to make your own from shredded coconut if you're going to make custard from it- might get a bit expensive otherwise! Let us know how it goes!

It's absolutely delicious - even more delicious than made with milk, and definitely better than soy.

Yum, thanks - I'll try it!! Did you make your own coconut milk or use tinned?

oh good. I thought it would work. I think I'll have to use the tinned coconut in the cupboard if I want it to cool overnight. I'll make up the volume with some rice/almond milk if I have enough. uh oh. No eggs left.

New plan - go to shops in morning and make it early.

Thanks

I like it better without eggs, so don't bother with the eggs.
I just used a tetra pak of coconut cream, although i usually use canned.
