Been guilty of similar!!
Had a similar one the other day myself. I thought in the last 3 years that I had taught all 3 of the older DS's to use the TMX and well... I was busy the other day up the other side of the house knowing that DS (who is 20!!!) was in the kitchen when the TMX started singing... it sang, and it sang and it sang until I couldn't stand it anymore and yelled out for DS to at least turn of the TMX. His reply ...HOW??? Yup, I think he felt the same lol

Kathryn, pmsl, I'd have lost it! Glad he at least felt bad about it.
At least my kids are all good at turning it off. dd2 will run over if I leave it for a few seconds whist doing something else.

LOL Zan, sometimes I have to turn it back on just so that DD (she is now 4) can turn it off if I have beaten her to it - but yes he sorta slunk off to his bedroom after that lol

The "Off" dial is the one thing my husband has figured out so far. I'm slowly working on lid locking, then I think I'll gradually introduce him to the speed dial before complicating things with temperature, reverse, slow speed, etc. etc.

After nearly 3 years my DH can make rice custard and even turn off the TMX.
