Heston's Feasts on SBS
« on: May 19, 2011, 02:08:21 pm »
Wow, just watched Heston create a banquet based on favourite 19th century horror novels like Dracula and Frankenstein. The meal included blood risotto and an edible monster, and polished off with an edible graveyard for dessert with edible breasts.
Secret weapon a Thermomix.

Yes I saw it to. Don't think I could come at eating a leech the way he did. Still remember getting bitten when I was a child. OMG it hurt.

I find Heston's feasts amazing. Especially all the work he does before he makes the food.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

I think he's a absolute nut! And I love watching his show. :D

I saw the same one berringababe and cringed at the thought. I'm glad I wasn't at that particular feast, it definitely didn't appeal to me.
I loved the Willie Wonka one!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
