probably best anyway that your warranty is local but with current exchange rates most items are slightly cheaper over here at the moment..I think they must have priced the oz items at a time when the dollar was quite bad and have always kept them the same!  and yes a funny cooincidence we have kind of swapped spots...is your hubby local? Where abouts in France are you from? oh and bonne fete!  Enjoying a lovely mothers day here in France...!

Yes Frozzie, my hubby is a "local".  We're both keen travellers but are always happy to come back home- a lovely quiet spot on a ridge with a nice outlook on hills and plenty of space for our sons to run around.  I was born in Paris and grew up in Montbrison (42-Loire), a small town 100km away from Lyon.  Most of my mother's family comes from Lorraine.  We were there last year but with my oldest son now in high school , and a few projects on our farm we might not travel back to France for a while...
What about you.: where are you from originally?and your hubby?

good to hear you still get back now and then...im originally from sydney, spent alot of years in Tamworth (used to live Daruka Road way..if you know it between tintinhull and tamworth city), returned to sydney after school then melbourne, then Paris and since have moved about but we have settled in Tours.  My parents now live on the sunshine coast.  Both of my kids were born here and hubby was born in Granville (50) but spent most of his life in Pontoise and Bretagne Sud.. I understand about having projects and not being able to see family as often..we said the same thing but we still ended up in oz the end of last year..!  and yes had a lovely mothers day thankyou..

Zumbo- Our Thermomix- is arriving in less than 4 hours!  Who would think we can get that excited about a kitchen appliance
