Hello from Vancouver, Canada
« on: May 30, 2011, 04:46:17 pm »
Hi everyone,

I've been lurking here and finally decided to take the plunge and join up with this forum. Hello!

I've had my TMX for 3 weeks and am thrilled with everything it can do. I now have to sell most of my other kitchen appliances to make room for it as my countertops resemble the local kitchenware store and not in a good way.  :D

Today I'm having a TMX-palooza: making the Almond Cake from Santiago, Portuguese Cream Tarts,  Buckwheat/Spelt Bread, Moroccan Aubergine Salad (we call it eggplant), Seafood Stew with Coconut Milk and probably a smoothie of some sort to round it out. Wind me up and let me go!  :o

Hi Vanillabean (love your name)

Welcome to the forum.  I am way south of you in soCalif., and have had my TMX since November '09 and got it from a vendor in B.C.

It sounds like you are beginning with an ambitious cooking plan.

Hello Vanillabean, welcome to the forum.  It's nice when lurkers finally decide to join us and add their stories for our pleasure. Sounds like there is nothing holding you back and you have the confidence to go for it. Keep us informed as to what you are cooking - we are all very interested.

Thank you so much for your warm welcome!

In case some of you think I'm a complete kook with my ambitious cooking plan, Monday is my one day off, so I try to set aside time to try new recipes and get stuff done around the house. Plus the weather isn't the greatest so it just felt like a TMX day to me.

Had huge trouble cooking rice though, my only disappointment so far. Will post elsewhere for answers.
