Another newbie from Perth
« on: July 01, 2011, 02:16:36 pm »
Hi
I have been reading for a little while now and thought it was about time I joined.
I have had my thermomix for about 8 weeks and have been loving it.
I am a SAHM mum to 2 boys. The youngest is about to turn 6 months so the thermomix will be getting a work out when he starts solids.

Looking forward to trying lots of new recipes.

Jacinta

Hi Jacinta, welcome to the forum.  Glad you finally decided to join us here and that you are enjoying your TMX.  It certainly makes life a lot easier, meals more varied and saves money as well.

Welcome Jacinta. The machine will certainly make things easier for you. What are your favourites at the moment?

Thanks for the warm welcome  :)
Cookie, my favourites at the moment are:
Mushroom risotto
Pumpkin Soup
Isi's Portugese Rolls
Leej's Brownies
Teryiaki Beef from MOTM
Custard
Cream Scones
Sticky Date Pudding
Oh and just made Profiteroles which I normally love doing anyway but it was so much easier/quicker using thermie for the choux pastry and custard.
So much more I want to try aswell. Although not the weather for it, but I am looking forward to trying out my new ice-cream maker (of course using thermie to make the custard).

Hi and welcome to the forum Jacinta - you have quickly realised the wonders of your kitchen helper. Looking forward to hearing of further TMX successes (or the other sort if you are ever in that situation, similar to the end product for me yesterday after using SR flour believing it would be OK in biscuits I was making!!!)  :D  :D
