Got some lovely dark red plums today for $1.99/kg. I've made the rice custard and now I'm off to stew them. :P licking my lips.

I made Isi's fruit crumble cake (I think it is called that) using plums recently.  It was so delicious I had to send it to work with Hubby after 1 slice.  ;) ;D

Thanks for that, I'll give it a try. I must admit the stewed plums and rice custard were lovely.

Thanks for this recipe CP, another use for the box of plums given to me today. I ended up making 2 batches, it was so easy.

Love stewed plums and ice cream, such a simple dessert and relatively healthy I suppose

Yesterday made some Nectarine 'ice cream), Very experimental as it contained cashew nuts instead of cream. Haven't posted recipe yet,  but basically, stewed nectarines, lemon juice and cashew nuts. Churned in Ice cream machine and stired through nectarine and raspberry jam.
Think plums could be used.
