I hadn't read the recipe properly, I see what you mean now.  Let me know if you try, as I'm wanting to go off instant coffee.

This was good in the plunger as you need a whole cup of powder to make it concentrate enough to only have to use a tbsp or 2 in your cup of milk.  ;)

I can certainly vouch for Chookies coffee syrup recipe.  Not cheap to make but well worth the expense and of course cheaper than buying the cartons of it.  Whenever I offer someone an iced coffee these days they always say 'ooh, yes please' and I have converted my SIL to love it so much that he even buys cartons of it when out and about nowadays whereas he never did like iced coffee before.  Read my review on the thread to avoid coffee dregs in your syrup.

I made this today - YUM!! I took everyOnes advice and Halved the sugar (I used Rapadura) & the taste was great.

We use it as topping but it isn't as thick as most bought varieties.
