What a lovely part of the world you live in Lee, thanks for the photo of your balcony view.  Nice on a hot summer day, beer/wine/cocktail in hand entertaining your friends.

my kids hate this photo but loved your dish  ;D chicken was falling off the bone, and that sauce was something else! next time I will use fresh veges and put them in probably halfway through the last stage (they just didn't have the same taste as fresh - although there was a lot less prep in tipping out the packet). no leftovers, but there was quite a bit of sauce so even doggy got a slice bread to soak up some juices poured over his normal dogfood  ;D yummo and ever so easy, thanks leesmac  :-* will def make this again

I am so happy that you enjoyed it and it was successful.  Phew!!! I am back from Cambridge and have one night to cook dinner before I go to Hannover for yet another conference.  I might make this tomorrow night again!

dede kecap manis is just sweetened soy sauce so im sure you could use normal soy (if you buy it and not kecap manis next time round lol) and some kind of sweetener!!

This is a great recipe using a part of the chicken I don't usually use. I paired mine with left over coconut rice (from quirky's recipe) and it was delish!

I did have a clean up job from the onion/oil on the bottom of the jug (any tips on cleaning or method?) I did follow the recipe..

Thanks Suzanne

Love the photo Lee and will definitely try your recipe. I love chicken wings, and to have vegies with it is a big plus.
