I simply must vent.  Please hear me out and then I will be okay again.

Last Friday my group leader was having a meeting.  This was the first I could make after all my conferences and so on since I officially joined to become a Thermomix Consultant. Ed and I arrived to find that she had cancelled it, didn't tell us and then was out.  Lucky her husband was at home.

Tonight was the rescheduled meeting.  I cooked yesterday so that I could be out the door at 630, drive there slowly and safely and be there between 7 and 730pm.  I drove over 100km, my navigation went mad and many roads were either closed or blocked.

It is now 815 and after an hour and a half of driving what should have taken 15km and half an hour, I am home, unable to get to the meeting.

All in all I have wasted near on three hours getting to and from meetings that are either cancelled or impossible to get to.  I need a group leader closer by, with easier access and that is a little more reliable.  I still have a broken bowl which keeps being promised to me when I finally get to these meetings.  Thermie is not himself and I just want to cry.  I am trying so hard to become a consultant and learn more.  I feel like throwing the whole consultant idea away and just cooking for Ed and I! 

Sorry about the grumbles but I knew you would all understand my frustrations.

Lee, you must be so fed up, particularly because your jug issue still hasn't been resolved and that the first meeting was cancelled without notice - that is so rude.

The road closures / detours must have been frustrating - was it all due to the weather?  To have to drive 100 km to get 15 km (and still not get to where you are going!) is pretty extreme, what's going on with Germany's roads?

Have you spoken to your GL to find out what is happening?  You are not sounding your usual bubbly self and are obviously feeling really let down and disappointed at the moment, but don't give up, you are a natural at this and we all have the occasional hassle.  Stick with it, give everything another chance and and don't let go of your aspirations for TMX, if things are still going awry for you with your GL, see if you can change to another one.  Just hang in there and feel free to vent to us if you need to - often just the act of putting your thoughts and feelings down on paper is enough to release the stress and make you feel better.

Group hug. How rude of her not to let you know that she can had cancelled. Take a little step back for a while, take a big breathe in and out and ask yourself, do i really have the time to be the Consultant that i want to be?

Oh Lee how frustrating for you.

Ring your HO and a nearer gl. Plus maybe take tm there and get your bowl changed over.

What a frustrating set of experiences!  Having a little grumble here is the very least I'd be doing - I think I'd be venting my spleen quite loudly in her direction, too.
If I were you I'd be wondering how much support this woman is going to be to you in your fledgling career as a consultant, given she's been something of a disappointment so far.
As previously suggested - take a deep breath and think about whether this is for you at this stage of your life.  Maybe the universe is sending you a message?

What a shame.  If they only knew what an "enthusiastic consultant to be" they had.....they shouldn't be delaying you!
As fundj mentioned, maybe it's not the right time for you, and imagine how unbelievably fabulous you will be, when you have had more cooking hours under your belt

Lee I can truly empathise with you. I can only imagine how angry you must feel. I'd chat to someone above the lady concerned and see if you can have someone else. It is extremely rude to cancel a meeting and not advise everyone.
Please feel free to 'yell' on here, we don't mind.

Oh Lee, poor you.  Pack up and come back to Australia - I'm sure that wouldn't happen here.  Hopefully by now, you have either spoken to her or someone higher than her - it is just not good enough and seeing as the replacement of your bowl hinged on this meeting, it is even more distressing.  You are such a keen consultant-to-be and this has knocked you for a sixer.  Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and think seriously about the direction you now want to go.  Maybe there is a message there but if you are still determined to become a consultant, then keep at it until you get success.

oh lee sorry to hear that...dont you jsut love the roadworks...they are everywhere i live as well at the moment as they have decided to put in a tramway and my goodness it makes getting around difficult as you are either blocked totally or sitting in traffic forever...still was it really 100kms or was that an exageration??? does seem excessive as 15kms distance isnt too far and normally with a gps you can get around it even though its a major pain!!

just a note of warning...as you know europe isnt oz so be careful what you say re other consultant as the customer is not the priority over here AT ALL and your more likely to create problems for yourself...and often in the same area they all know each other and support each other...just saying so be very delicate about the reasons why you want to change to another consutant... in any case its all wrong lee and I would also be asking the question do you really need the extra stress...i would just perhaps get thermie fixed and get back to over the moon happy lee and get cooking!!!
