Looks lovely Bee.  Just pull away excess dough from the die and the inner plastic bit and then put both pieces aside to let the dough dry that's stuck in there.  You'll find that it will just pop out if you use the little gadget (long thin thing on the end of the slicer paddle thing) to push/dig it out.  I like doing that part.  :-))  The other dies have the plastic covers that pushes out the dry bits.  :D

Julie, the 2 parts of the penne die wouldn't budge when I finished using it. Had to sit down to poke bits and pieces out with the pointy ends of the flat scraper.

Lucky I double checked the manual before freezing the penne die 😆😄😂

Oh, I haven't had that problem (yet) Bee.  I pull them apart as soon as I've finished extruding then pull off the excess dough and put both pieces aside to dry while we have dinner and then clean up.  When I come back to them I find they have dried enough to quickly poke out the remaining dough.  ;D

I froze the 1/2 that was left over and then thawed in Fridge, reheated in microwave and browned top in AF. This is one of our favourite pasta dishes.  Thanks Cookie.  ;D

Kids loved it and cleaned their plate. I added some garlic salt and pepper and froze the leftovers for quick dinner when I am running late. Wasn't enough spice for hubby and myself though. Will definitely be on the kids menu

Cookie, this has been so handy this busy week that I am going to make a lot and freeze it in serving sizes.  Thanks again.

Cookie I made this for DH today and he really enjoyed it.  So simple to make.   :D

I grated both cheeses at the same time for the 10 secs/speed 8 and they turned out good and well mixed.  I also just added the frozen peas without thawing.  I think adding the hot sauce to them and the baking time cooked them enough to be tender.

I made one lot of penne in my machine and cut them off in about 2-3cm lengths which worked out good.  Thanks for posting a nice little recipe.  :D

Your meals always look better Julie. I do the same with the peas. Sounds like yet another reason why I need the pasta maker.

Thanks Kimmy  :D

After the 'using it all the time' phase wore off, when I now need pasta, I don't hesitate to make my own.  Sometimes when you get things, after that initial stage you tend to go back to what you used to do before, (well I can be guilty of that), but I'm not doing that with the pasta maker.  I think because it's so easy and quick to use it's not really too much more effort than opening up a packet of dried stuff.  It's better now that I'm not standing there watching it do its stuff, I get on with other things until I hear the change of sound and then cut it as it comes out.  ;D

I made this today to have in the freezer for when the GC come to stay.  I had to sample it of course and it is so yummy :P
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.
