It does look handy. I'm sort of hinting as we have just planted about 12 mini tomato plants of various colours. Could be good.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Does anyone know how you would dry fruit straps? It looks like the trays have holes in them to let the air circulate. I make a lot of fruit straps for the kids and currently use the oven. What else is everyone drying? I want one but basically don't know what I would really use it for!!!

Thanks CreamPUff, I contributed to that thread quite a while. I've still been making them in the oven when I get the time but can only do one tray at a time and need to leave the oven on every night. It looks like you need to cover the dehydrator trays with baking paper. I'll keep a look out on tvsn.

You should be able to buy Tefflon Mats or similar if they don't already come with the machine. My Ezidri came with one.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

I had a bunch of the tray liners that came with the Excaliburs I bought years ago but rarely used them.

I found that I could use regular bakers parchment  and when the roll-ups were sufficiently dried, simply roll them up in the parchment and store them that way.  It keeps the layers from sticking together into a solid mass.

A friend showed me a trick with edible rice paper placed on the regular tray mats but it was a bit too fiddly for me so I just went back to using the parchment.

On a simple search I can't find the link but I will see if I can find the instructions for the latter which has to be somewhere in my old computer files on my backup hard drive.
