WA children with Coeliac
« on: November 23, 2011, 11:04:59 pm »
My grandson 12yrs, has the blood test to confirm that he most probably has Coeliac, but now has to have the Endoscopy op to confirm it.   However my daughter has been told that there are no WA private hospitals that will do the test on children and that she will have to wait for public and that could take months.  Does anyone know if that is correct and if so how long is the normal waiting time?
I am now looking up the forum for recipes!.  Thank goodness for TX

Kay, that is horrid. Is there no chance she can go private at Princess Margaret? Perhaps she could ring round to all the other hospitals and ask. Try South Perth Hospital, I did hear that they operate on children but I don't know if they do endoscopies etc.
Good luck.
