Thermomixing Disaster!!
« on: December 17, 2011, 09:38:48 pm »
Hello all. I am new to this forum, as I only received my TM less than a week ago.

Yesterday my poor lovely husband was making soup the old way, and thought he'd give the TM a go to puree his tomatoes. He asked me to show him how to use the controls, and I was delighted to see he wanted to use it. We stood together to watch the beautiful new machine work its magic, when suddenly the entire contents of the bowl flooded out throught the bottom!!!...My dear husband handed put the base on the bowl when he assembled it!!!

As quickly as possible we cleaned up the mess and I meticulously cleaned the machine itself, but now it is very very sick. For hours after it indicates that the bowl is hot eg. 90 degrees, flashes with an error sign etc.

Very disappointed! Any advice??

Sorry, I meant to say that my husband "hadn't" put the base on the bowl!

Still disappointed!

Clare, that is devastating.  Just stand by the forum, as Fundj said, we are sure someone else has experienced this and hopefully you'll get some good feedback before long.

Oh dear!  Have a study up of the discussion on this thread, headed "Drowned Thermie".  That should help.

Sorry to hear of your problems claref, these things happen and we all learn from our mistakes. Cecilia's link will give you all the information you should know so hopefully after some time upside down, your error message will disappear. I can imagine how devastated you must be feeling after only having your TMX a week.  Please keep us informed, we all understand how much of a trauma it is to not have our machines working.
