Recipe review - Prawn, Peanut & Pineapple Salad pge 107 For Food's Sake

Hot day here today so this was the perfect meal for us. It does take a while to get it all to come together but you could make the dressing in advance, toast the almonds and have things diced ready to throw it all together at the end. I did wonder why you couldn't just use cold cooked prawns but I think the fact they are warm helps to marry all the ingredients together. We both enjoyed this salad for something different.

I have also made this from her website recently and it wasn't too bad but a bit acidic, if I remember correctly.

I halved everything Tasty but only used the juice of 1 lime because of having done another recipe with lime in it recently and I thought that was too acidic too. I am wary now so always cut it back. It was a perfect dressing, albeit an ugly looking one

I made this salad today with a couple of changes. I can't eat raw fresh pineapple, I have a reaction to it but the tinned stuff is okay, so I used some of them drained.
Just being for the 2 of us I halved the recipe but allowed for 10 prawns each (will add a few more next time).
I didn't bother steaming the prawns I just cooked in a non-stick frypan. Must admit I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. Will def make it again.

Oh JulioO!! this is NOT a photo to be looking at on an empty stomach!
It looks absolutely delicious!
Just gorgeous! This is a dish marked for making in the very near future!
Thanks, too, JD, for the heads up (isn't that an interesting expression!) about the lime - will keep that in mind!

Thanks goldfish. Forgot to mention that I only added a quick shake of fish sauce as I don't like it very much but understand that it does add a certain flavour, also found the amount of peanuts seemed a little high, next time will only toast as much as I know we'll eat.

Thank you,
You really should (make the recipe), I've found Tenina's dressings especially really good (if you alter them slightly to suit your own taste).
