Meganjanes' Ferrero Rocher & Pear Pastries
« on: January 06, 2012, 05:44:55 am »

Par-cook some fresh peeled pears in syrup.
When cool, cut in half and remove core.
Place a Ferrero Rocher chocky in the core cavity.
Defrost some puff pastry sheets, cut each one into four squares.
Place each pear half face down on a sheet of pastry.
Glaze the pears with some apricot jam and bake until pear is cooked and pastry is puffed and crisp around the edges.

Yum!

I posted this in another thread in response to someone who had a glut of Ferrero Rocher Chocolates at Christmas.

Thanks JD for moving it to it's own post
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
