Hello from Joburg

Hi,
I'm an Aussie who has just moved to Joburg. I got my thermomix over here and saved over 20% compared to the price in Aus. I've been using my Mum's for the last few months in Aus so am already addicted.
I've only had it 3 days but have already made:
- ANZACs x2
- Stir fry Veg
- Pasta
- Peanut Chicken (from the forum - very, very YUM)
- Chocolate custard
- Porridge x3
- Steam Veg and Ostrich sausages(very lean) in the Varoma
- Bacon and Mushroom cabonara
- Kids Easy Mac
- 5 seed bread
- Playdough (its an absolute hit with my 2yo)
Cheers,
Ros

Hi Ros, welcome to the forum. Nice to have had that bit of a fiddle with Mum's machine back here and even nicer to have saved 20% buying one over there. Is your move a permanent one or a year or two?

Welcome Ros, you certainly have been busy, when you come home do you have to only change the electric plug, I wonder about buying things overseas.

Hi there and welcome to the forum! Have you tried your hand at converting yet? Looking forward to some of those distinctly wonderful S.A. recipes on here.
