G'day from WA!
« on: February 22, 2012, 01:34:41 am »
Hi everyone,

Thanks for all your help and advice that I have been reading for a while now. I appreciate so much that you have put your time and effort into making this forum a nice place to be. I am the proud owner of a Thermochef which i just love and which I have had for about 6 months now. It has changed the way I think about food and my relationship with cooking. I wasn't certain that I would use it, which is part of the reason that I opted for the TC not the TM. I've named her MEG (multipurpose Entertainment Gadget). Meg and I get on famously!

Some of you may have read my posts on other forums, as I have been around for a while, and whilst I appreciate the discussions that go on about the different models for me it's all about enjoying the journey- learning to cook new things from each other and having a healthier lifestyle. I spent last year at Uni full time and have just graduated which now gives me time to play a lot with MEG!

I am looking forward to putting up the wonderful recipes I am making in Meg for you all to try. They have had rave reviews from my husband and my very health conscious son so I must be doing something right! I am located in Parmelia in Perth.

Looking forward to being an active member of this forum!  :) :) :) :)

Welcome from another TC owner.
I love my TC and I feel some envy towards owners of a the TM,  But it was not an option for me on a very limited fixed income.
TC is a real hit in our household and so far has done everything I have asked of him.
And I look forward to your recipes.

Thanks so much from both of you for the welcome...I feel like part of the community already! RosieB...notice that your TC is male? It is so interesting how we relate to these things! And Deedub...have last nights dinner to post up when I figure out how to add the photo...it was yummy too! (It was sooo good I deliberately took a photo before we started eating...much to the anguish of the hungry males in the household!)

RosieB...notice that your TC is male?

LOL.  TC = Top Cat   ;D
But I see TC as a male as I can not imagine any woman taking orders from me to do as much as I expect from TC.   :P

Welcome to the forum happyexpat, look forward to seeing your recipes and I'm sure all the TC owners on here will as well.
Please mention the fact that they are for the TC on each recipe you post.

Welcome to the forum happyexpat. You live a little nearer Fremantle than I do.

Hey happyexpat, great to see you on here! Have been loving my TC too and enjoying so many different things. Seeing as cooking is something we have to do everyday... It's great to be enjoying it even more!

Made some quince paste last week, which I would never have considered before, and wooooow!

Reading yours reminds me I have a lime and mango tart recipe to post... See you around the forum! :)
TC owner from Adelaide. Thanks for sharing the journey and inspiring me to cook new things.

Welcome to the forum Happyexpat, and welcome to Meg as well ;)

I'm so glad you decided to join this forum and look forward to your contributions.

Congratulations on your graduation.

I think the TC has really proved itself as a great alternative to the TM. If the TC was around when I decided to get my TM I would most likely would of got the TC instead :)

I do love my TM and use it everyday. Would hate to be without it.
