Help!

The cord of my TM got burnt a bit from being too close to the hotplate by the stove top. Can it be repaired?? How do I find out??I'm scared to use it.

FeeBee how badly is it burnt? Has it burnt through the rubber and exposed the wires? Does your DH have a multi meter?
If the wires are exposed I wouldn't use it.
It will definitely be able to be repaired as it will probably only need a new cord. I don't know if that will have to be done by HO or any electrician. Is the machine still under warranty?
Please don't worry as in the big picture of things it is only a small problem, though I know how you must feel.

Thanks for your quick reply Cookie.

It isn't burnt too badly, I can't see any wires exposed, it looks like the casing is just burnt however I'm not entirely sure. How do I go about getting it repaired?

I would ring your consultant first, and then ring Head Office tomorrow if she can't help you. There is a 1800 number. If you can't find it I'll have a look for you.
Personally I think you will be fine but it may need checking.

Cookie,

I don't have a consultant. Mine moved interstate the day after she delivered mine. I will ring the 1800 number from the website tomorrow.

Thanks again, you've made me feel better

Maybe you could get an electrician to check the cord and see if it is safe to use.

I hope all is fine and no major damage done. Maybe put your mind at ease to get it checked.
