My wife and I have twin daughters and spent hours and hours peeling, chopping, steaming and mashing vegetables to make food for the kids. We never fed them anything but food we prepared ourselves when they were young. We often mention that we wish we had our thermomix back then - I'd have paid anything for it on some of those nights.

Hi Hammo25, welcome to the forum. I've moved your posting so that you have a thread of your own. So many of us say the same thing about wishing we had the TMX when our kids were young but we have it now and are making up for lost time. Tell us a bit about yourself, where you live, how long you've had the TMX etc.

Hi Hammo I would imagine that you are rather busy with twins.

Wow, thanks for all the welcomes. Twin girls now 6 and hopefully all the better for the fresh food upbringing. Thermomix gets used multiple times daily and is responsible for a lot of the meals served to typically fussy young eaters.
I should clarify that my interest here is as an interested husband of a wife and mother who has progressed from a Thermomix 'wanter' to owner to consultant and beyond. So yes I'm a little (or a lot) biased, but like to stay close to what it's all about.
I'm the first to agree that the husbands are often the obstacle - as I would have been but had some very genuinely convincing arguments presented to me at our point of purchase. I'm a regular user of the TM myself although keep it pretty basic. Sweet chills sauce is a favourite, but made my first tomato soup the other night. Was craving tomato soup but can't bring myself to eat out of a can anymore.
Haven't had anything but home made variety of pizza in 2 years either!

Hammo25- my twins are almost 6 and I've had my TM for almost two years. We did the same thing initially ie prior to buying a TM- with all of the fresh food we puréed for our babies whilst in a rental house (we were renovating our own house at the time) as well as my husband travelling interstate several times a week for work. I would have given anything to have a thermie during those times so I truly sympathise! Congrats on commencing your TM cooking journey. Hope you have made and continue to enjoy making amazing meals in the TM and all the best to you and the girls.
