I used cake release in the tins and a small palate knife to flip them out Cookie.A couple of mine were still a bit squished though.

I used cake release cookie.  Rested it for a while I think before removing them with a round edged knife.

Thanks ladies. I just buttered them and perhaps it wasn't enough. Next time I might add an egg to keep them together and put some baking paper  in so I can loosen them and lift them out.  They really taste lovely. DH kept tasting them, I had to ban him so there is enough for dinner.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.
