PP, thankyou for sharing your sorrow with the forum. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My DH's grandmother passed away like that just a few months after her partner some years ago. While some of her children didn't like this man who had come into her life in her sunset years, her grandchildren were always very thankful because they believed the strength of her love for him gave us all extra time with her. Your parents must have had a wonderful partnership.

How terribly sad for you right now. Rest assured your Mum and Dad are together again and no doubt wanting you to remember the happy times.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss PP. I know how difficult it is to loose our parents. I'm sure
the pain you're feeling now will ease with time but the precious memories will always be there. Take care.

PP sending much love your way.

This is the one thing we feared for my dad when we lost Mum just before Christmas. Thankfully Dad is doing well (though I think in a large part due to do with the fact that my single brother moved in with him)

Some wonderful words that were shared with me that may help you PP

"Grieve in your own way and heal in your own time"  - there is no right or wrong way or time to do this. You do what it is that YOU need to do to get through this.

Sending you all the strength I can to help you get through this and praying you are looking after yourself  ... at least a tiny little bit   :-* :-* :-*

PP I am sorry for your loss. My dad passed away on 8th March and it has been hard on us all. I worry about mum, but so far she is doing OK. I ring her every night just so she has someone to talk to.
Yes your dad is where he wants to be. It is hard to see them suffer but it is just as hard to say goodbye. I watched dad suffer and it was terrible. I just wish I could have him back without the cancer. I miss him everyday. I was daddy's little girl and some days I feel that I can not go on without him, but fortunately my loving DH and DS as well as my wonderful friends are there to pick me up and remind my that he is always with me.

Please take care and remember that I am here if you ever need to talk.

Such very sad news PP but I firmly believe that your parents have been reunited and are smiling down on you and your family.

Look after yourself.  I'm sure they would want it that way.

Thank you all for your beautiful words.  Yes I do believe that two wonderful people are now together again. forever. As a family we will take each day as it comes, and be there for each other, just as this forum is for us all, during difficult times. Thank you. Monica.
