Name of Recipe:  Pollo al chilindrón

Pepper, to taste
Nutmeg, to taste
250g mushrooms, sliced

Put the oil and the garlic into the  *:, chop 6 seconds / Speed 5 [scrape down sides of  *:] and then 3 minutes / Temp. Varoma / Speed 1
Add the onion, peppers and white wine, chop 4 seconds / Speed 5 [scrape down sides of  *:], then 10 minutes / Temp. Varoma / Speed 1.
Incorporate the rest of the ingredients, excluding the mushrooms, 20 minutes / Temp. Varoma /  :-: / Speed  ^^.
Add the mushrooms 20 minutes / Temp. Varoma /  :-: / Speed  ^^.

Hi JD

Yes, it is in a way.  The next recipe I will be adding if for tomate frito.  All this business of having to do numerous  exercises every 2 hours and having to go away from my computer every half hour throws me out and I did intend to add the recipe yesterday.  I am going shopping shortly to get the ingredients for the chilindrón and hope to make it today ...

Thanks JD, but I do like to keep my brain working, lol, and cannot abide having to keep stopping what am doing all the time.  Anyway, have now added the tomate frito recipe (there is a link to it from the ingredients list above) and done my shopping of sorts.  We have one tiny supermarket and they had no drumsticks and their mushrooms were manky.  The butcher had no drumsticks either.   >:(  We have no greengrocer, but luckily a friend was going to a supermarket a few miles away, so hopefully he will come back with the rest of the ingredients I need. :-\

It must be difficult to meal plan when you can't get what you want JB - your supermarket & butcher need to lift their game ;)

Yippee!  My friend managed to get the remaining ingredients  ;D  We are a small town of about 5,000 and when shops go out of business (we had 2 greengrocer's at one stage), they are replaced by what I call 'useless' shops, ie gift, antique shops, hairdressers etc.  I have nothing against those types of shops, but we have too many of them  and not enough food shops, although we do have a wonderful deli.

The Co-op (our little supermarket) sells a lot of junk food, but the veggies are usually pretty poor quality and are always out of stock of things that you want.  They have no competition now so I suppose they don't really care that much.  The butcher is normally pretty good though.  Just wish I could drive, but am too nervous as my father was killed in a road accident when I was 14 and that sort of put me off.  DH cannot drive as his eyesight is too poor :(

Anyway, ingredients having arrived so am going to start on the Chilindrón  ;D

Hi CC

DH and friend (who hunted for the ingredients elsewhere) both loved it so it will be made again.  Our 3 cats liked the smell of it as well  ;D  However, I made one or two alterations.  Instead of the Spanish TM meat stock cube, I used 2 tsps Bron's Spanish veg stock and the tomate frito, was in fact a reduced version of Roasted tomato soup as I had some that needed to be used up.  Will try with tomate frito next time and make the meat stock cubes and let you know what they think of it then.

It looks very tasty JB, like a chicken cacciatore so could be the Spanish equivalent of the Italian recipe.
