Not sure why you left the 3rd body part on ???

Did you take the arsons nose off?

thanks ladies i cooked it in a castiron pot with a lid, it did take just under 2 hours to cook,is that to long?

 
thanks H, the veg i made in a different pan DD2 is a vegetarian

Looks fabulous, Uni, well done - I'd eat that (if I wasn't a vegetarian!).

Although you have been struggling with roasts in the past, never forget, you are making so many things each and every day that most of us here on the forum simply couldn't, or can't, make, so don't knock yourself out just because you are having a bit of trouble with one type of meal.  You're a great cook!!!

thanks GF, yes i did leave it on, i wonder who the lucky person was that ate it was  :-))

marina it would be nice and easy to do a roast once a week, just  chuck it in the oven with some veg and its done. i am working now 5 days a week so it would be very handy, poor DH he doesnt really like chicken but you know what he can go to his mums on roast chicken night .  ;D
