We are not huge milk drinkers here, Wonder...and no milk based dishes as I have a dairy intolerant DD, so for the little bit we use I just buy up on long-life when it is $1/L or less. Soy milk is long life too.
as for fruit/veg, we have fruit trees and a veg garden which keeps us going.... :)

Gert, has certainly been inspirational. JD and astarra, I don't know how you have so many $0 weeks.
Even if I don't shop, DH will always buy milk and bread. I have tried having both in the freezer but DH can't see the point of freezing things that are so readily available.

Agree with Judy and Michele,  Gert has inspired me to make the effort to really look at what I have got in Freezer and in pantry.  Tried to avoid the grocer but DH needed cereals . Spent $26 which is better than $100  plus that I normally spend.

Went our for lunch yesterday and maybe today  so challenged has slowed down momentarily.

Visitors tomorrow so into the ham so that may slow down the week s it will not be eaten. Did buy just four potatoes for potato salad. I won't buy any more until the cous cous and quinoa are gone from pantry!

Getting there.

I had a $0 week so that will bring this month's average down.

Thanks to the inspiration form Gert, this week's spend was $46 for 3 people (including dishwasher tablets) :) All we really needed was milk, butter, bananas, eggs and oats! The shortest shopping list ever :)

My last weekly shop was $114.56.

My average this year is $149, going down slowly. No I didnt count the week away as a 0, just skipped the week.
