I have a lemon, lime  & passionfruit, but no fruit >:(

Fruit & veg my biggest expenditure last week, $52, will see how to get this down on a regular basis.  Just planted some more veg & herb in the garden.

Spent $14.39 from aussie farmers & I havent even left the house.

Week 2 for me, I am still enjoying the callenge :)

Well I've just found out that I have to provide an antipasto platter for our weekend away with friends - easy, but expensive! I already have sundried tomatoes, goats cheese, caramelised onions and I can make dips pretty cheaply.... but I'll need to hit the deli counter and that's gonna be a killer! Need olives, salami, prosciutto and other assorted goodies for 17 people including kids - there goes my budget!  :) I'll let you know how I get on....

Gee how did  you get caught with that one. I would hold  on the prosciutto at over $40 a kilo.

Wouldn't everything just be so much easier if money grew on trees like apples? :-)) :D
Yeah that would be great - especially for those of us living in 'apple isle' !!!  ;)

No shopping today for me, even tho Tuesday is usually shopping day - school holidays...!  :-)) Will see if we can get thru the whole week without going.........
:D

Yes Obbie, I think we are doing really well. In fact I think it is us that might be making the reserve bank lower its interest rate tomrrow ;D, yay another win

$29.25 shopping today, plus the $14.39, plus $26 veg delivery on thursday toal so far $69.64, which gives me money for olive oil, milk & a few extras.

I have veg oil, sunflower oil, rice bran oil, ghee etc so not desperate :)

CP, will add up the total savings at the end of the month :) i am appy to help get the mortgage down.

Ok, as expected i've blown the budget already - so far I've spent 118.16 including my aussie farmers delivery, but considering I spent 37.74 on the antipasto platter I have to provide for this weekend I reckon that's pretty good. If I take those items out it comes to 80.42 - but since we're away for the long weekend I probably bought less 'normal' stuff than usual....
I'm having fun with this! Definitely makes you think/shop differently.

I'm a bit concerned about my shopping Thursday as I have noticed over the last few days that we are running out of quiet a few things.
I'm heading shopping Thursday now as I'm able to go on my own without the kids.

I have to leave DH at home to save money when grocery shopping. Worse than kids. Not so much on food but he gets caught up in hygiene section buying 4 or 5 different deoderants and shaving cream and razor blades which cost a fortune.
And socks - he buys a five pack of sports socks every time he goes shopping.
But if socks make him happy so be it.

I wouldn't like to take my DH either, he would hang around the meat section and complain about the price and quality (being an ex-butcher)
He would annoy the crap out of me :D

Luckily DS 22yrs is a butcher so we buy our meat from him.
Well at least DH is clean shaven, smells good and has clean socks.  :D :D :D
