That is amazing Gert seeing how empty your freezer is.
I've had my best week yet - $114. That is more than $20 under budget! I haven't bought anything since I went to the market last Sunday. I even made my own bread, and used up some rolls from the freezer.
However, I've just been to the supermarket for this week - we had no bread, no cheese, no juice, no butter.
It's cost me a little more than the last 4 weeks, but depending whAt I buy at the market tomorrow, I'm hoping I will come close to budget this week too. School goes back this week, so we'll need more bread and fruit.
The menu plan for the last week included pea and ham soup with ciabatta, salmon, beef parmigiana plus other meals that have completely skipped my mind. I know we didn't go hungry!

Hally and Gert, can't do as well as you but still very pleased.  Had $5 left from last week, ( had to re stock with Fruit and Veggies after Hol). This week , shopped today for week,  including Farmers Market, $70.  Instead of buying large packets,  bought small.

This is starting to show on Master Card.  WOW.  Don't won't to spend money on anything.

September ;D ;D

Never thought saving money on grocerys would  amount to so much in savings, therewere some really cheap jetstar airfares which he grabbed & we are staying at a sheraton in singapore.

So come on girls, go through that pantry, fridge & freezer.

Oh, I'm happy for you H. It sounds lovely. We have just had a quote for a gas space heater for our house as the reverse cycle air conditioner isn't coping, and I'm sick of freezing at night. I sit on the couch with a hot water bootle and a mohair rug, and am still cold. The quote is almost $4,000' so I know what our savings are going towards!
