CC we are only just experiencing the heat that the southern states have felt for the past week or more.  The weather bureau  have added  new colours to forecasting maps — deep purple and pink — to mark out areas experiencing peaks above 50C (122F). We actually went out and left the air on (I know a tad irresponsible) in the rumpus room for Shelby - the lab!!!

Good Morning Robyn, Marie and DJ - Thinking of you girls all rugged up. We should have a pleasant 27 here on the lake.

I just turned my secret santa calendar over for today and it has a very interesting tip - Never use water that has been boiled twice to make a cup of tea. Fresh water has a higher oxygen content so should extract more tea from the leaves, making a tastier cuppa.

Now I understand why you use fresh water when making a cup of tea. :)

Hi DJ, stay warm  ;D

Morning Mcmich Johnro, I was told many years ago to only boil the water in the kettle once, I think it had something to do with higher fluoride levels or something like that though.  Interesting about the oxygen content
