Morning all. ;D

My staff were surprised to see me up this morning. i don't normally go out to the shed if I don't have too.

I have just employed a chef,  so next week i can pick his brains.  ( who does irrigation too.) ;D ;D ;D

My Thermomix,  Kitchen Aid, Pizza oven, Nu Wave 5 in 1, Spatulas, all brings love, laughter, happiness, and great food  to my kitchen.

Morning all. Waiting for DS to wake up. He had a bad night so will keep him home today. The swimming carnival is on today, so he won't miss much. My mum gave him a monte Carlo biscuit yesterday, not sure if that set him off, but he was up most of the night crying and couldn't settle.

Obbie, lucky you. A chef :) can't wait to see why he cooks and what tips he has.

Morning ladies - had a bit of a sleep-in this morning.  Of all mornings too, we have a specialist appointment for DH and I really wanted to get up 1/2 hour earlier.  I set the alarm but I forgot to turn it on  :-))

Morning Judy.
Why do things like that only happen on the days you need to be up early for something important.

Hope you have a nice day and the specialist appointment goes well.

It's always the case Judy. I hope things went well.

Yes, we had no trouble getting there on the train followed by a brisk walk to the specialist centre.  I had phoned ahead and told the receptionist to tell his neurologist a few things I didn't want to say in front of Geoff and that worked out well as he did the geriatric testing which then explained to the doctor exactly what I wanted him to know - poor Geoff failed miserably as I expected he would.  Not much they can do about that but he did give me some new tablets to try for the pains in his legs which keep him (and me) awake at night.

Oh Judy ! How wonderful it would be if everyone .. especially carers... were as thoughtful and perceptive as you. So many people, including doctors who should know better, talk about patients as if the poor people were either stone deaf or even not there at all with no idea of the impact of what they're saying.  Kudos!!!!!  :)

Thank you GF - you are right but it is so hard to discuss the patient without them knowing or hearing what you are saying - they are there all the time! Today was much better though even if the results of the test were disastrous compared to a test taken before his massive seizure last year.

A very wise thing to do Judy. We used to do that with Mum's neurologist and do so with MIL 's specialist. It saves them so much embarrassment.
