GF, it is quite a bit cooler here this morning as well, much better for sleeping though.  No connection problems here at the moment

Good morning everyone :) Back on deck today. Friday was a heartbreaker :'(
@ Jadey the teens are doing ok thanks. One of the unexpected benefits of attending an Anglican school is that there are fabulous emotional support networks.
@ Chrissa lucky DH. Bet he enjoyed that birthday feast.
Good morning everyone . . .a really welcome cool change in Sydney this morning . . . :D
So unfortunately no it's too hot excuse to avoid cleaning the house :-))

Thanks Robyn.

I'm going to do some baking today as well.  I pick up my niece and nephew from school tomorrow (ages 10 & 11). Fussy eaters and their mum gives them a snack pack for the trip home.

I usually take cut up fruit but I thought I might add something extra, I'm thinking the LCM slices.  But I'm open to suggestions from all the Mums on this forum

Just finished birthday dinner part 2

The mussels and periwinkles.  Never had periwinkles before.  Easy to cook DH said they were perfect.  Not the best picture though but interesting for those who have never seen them. The little end that is separate (i broke it off by accident) was nice, very much like scallop roe but the bigger end.  Yuk didn't like that at all.  Tasted very much like the sea.

Mussels were very nice.  Both were steamed in homemade Asian broth with a little chilli salt in the periwinkles,
