Sorry about your thumb Marie, hope it feels better now?
I am badly scarred on ne thumb from a slipped knife while making brandy snaps as a teenager, so you have great sympathy from here.
Hope it heals quickly. Vit C and zinc supplements greatly aid healing.

My kids want to go to the Atherton show, but I would prefer to put the money towards a new trampoline for them..

Morning girls.  Sunny and calm here today.

Last night I thought I was in trouble with my TMX.  Late last night I ground some nuts to make Chelsea's coconut rough and next minute all my lights were flashing and going crazy.  Tried everything to settle him down but to no avail so I emailed my technician with a view to having the machine looked at.  This morning thought I'd turn it on to make sure it was still in a mood and bless my cotton socks, all was normal.  Now, what was that all about I wonder  :-))  Another email then sent to cancel my request after I had completed the recipe without any further problems.

Gremlins, Judy . . . mine seem to multiply at night - and then set about dividing and conquering during the day!! :-)) >:(  And when things return to a relatively normal state you begin to question your own sanity and wonder whether or not you imagined the whole thing!! ;D ;D

I do hope it was just a flash in the pan type of thing and won't ever happen again.  It would be interesting to get possible explanations, though.

Maybe a nut caught under a blade? Or maybe your Thermothingy is allergic to nuts. Seems everyone is these days. N noticed your Thermothingy is a male so that would explain a temper tantrum or meltdown when unable to cope.  Your machine is also getting on in years so maybe a senior moment and he forgot what he was supposed to be doing. Good he did not s##t himself.

It is getting on in years and I expect some little hiccups from time to time.  It actually ground the nuts normally and it was when I emptied them out and popped the bowl back in to do the next step that the problems started.  It wasn't a lot of nuts either, only 205 gms
I might get on and make the 3 savoury items I'm doing for the High Tea this week now to make sure all is well as I have Monika coming on Friday to deliver my copies of the second print of the new EDC.  If he doesn't behave himself Gert he can go home with her then.  Loved your explanation of my beloved's temper tantrum  :D :D
