Super pic Gert! hope you enjoyed it.

As to a blank canvas I hope I get it right.
The kitchen is now large and L shaped since the pantry went. The working part is a rectangle with two large windows, a beam or two, and not much wall which makes it tricky. We wanted to move tha Aga, but couldn't make the kitchen work so it went back to almost the same place as before, just a bit more central.
Am raising the dishwasher ( have always done this, so much better to load and unload) and one oven in tall units.
A big peninsula for baking on, bread and pastry etc. Two sinks. One near the dishwasher for china and glass etc and one in my cooking triangle near Aga, hob and fridge. Keeping existing fridge as tall and spacious. Mostly drawers in the units. And kidney corners. No room for pantry cupboards at all.
Living  end has old range fireplace and will have DD Tv on wall and her sofa while she is home.

DS still sleeping on sofa, hope we get his room useable soon. DD now on mattress on floor. Plumbers have three bedroom floors up at present, although exciting it is a bit weary making, and I'd like to be able to decorate soon.

Lovely photo Gretchen, sounded like a good night - maybe too good with all that wine with each course ;)  Bet you didn't chose the Traminer with the canapes ;D

It's like camping out DJ, I'm sure the kids don't mind as long as food is produced somehow.

I did actually and it was not at all sweet which surprised me.

I have pics of the food if anyone is interested.

Goodmorning everyone  ;D very wet day here

What a wonderful photo Gert,  by the look of the menu, a great night.

DJ , it will all be worth it in the end.  I agree with drawers, love them, much easier than cupboards
